Dwadasha stothra 5: Verse 1
This shloka answers the eternal question – why can’t everybody see God? Why there are different schools of thought about God? How to purify heart to invite God?

smaraNE hi parEshitur+asya vibhO–
Pareshita – one who controls all in the world
Vibhu – Omnipresent, omnipotent
malinAni manAMsi – Impure heart
Without purity of heart, one cannot grasp Swaroopa of God. All thoughts are always due to external forces – genetic, environmental forces.
kutaH karaNam- With such a impure heart, how can one aspire to see God.
vimalaM hi padaM – God is extremely pure
paramaM svarataM- He is filled with swaroopa Ananda
taruNArka savarnam – In meditation he is seen as Youthful sun (sun during dawn)(colour of God). We don’t do this anvaya to setting sun as it is declining force.
ajasya harEH – One who has no birth and death
All these are seen in meditation only when the impurity/darkness of heart is removed.
Eg: (Sattva – light, Rajas – Smoke, Tamas – firewood)
Hari’s Swaroopa is pure (without evil or other impurities), without Vikara or change due to birth, aging, death etc., supreme, self-fulfilled with bliss and of the colour of and brighter than the rising Sun. When one meditates on Him, the mind and Indriyas (sensory organs) will automatically get purified. (How can they remain impure?)
