Dwadasha stothra 3 : Verse 2
Sachidanadam roopam tham anamaya anantharam
Ekam ekantham abhayam vishnum vishva hruddhi stitam || 2||
We as a species are aware only of bodies that are made from 5 elements – earth, water, fire (gives form) sky, air
Narayana’s form is not made from 5 elements but it is sachidananda roopa. We can not aspire to do chintane of all gunas of bhagavantha. Shastras say we must to do chintane of following gunas : Sath, chith, ananda, atma He is antaryami of us and protects/controls us.
- Ananda – inner bliss (without expectation – we get only in sleep) .Modha / Pramodha – outer bliss (pleasure due to external factors)
- Chith – wisdom
- Sath – void of all defects
amaya – disease / grief
anamaya – devoid of grief
anatharam – sathchitanadam is inseparable in Narayana
- Ekam – Such kind of form which is akanda is only one.
- Ekam eva adwithiya brahma – Bhagavantha is akanda (his gunas, kriyas are inseparable) , there is no dwithiya form like him
- Ekantham – should be worshipped in solitude (meditation) – eka eva anthaha – last resting place – mukthanam parama gathih
Abhyam – without fear – as there is no second being as Narayana
Bhaya – samasra bhandana
Vishnum – Omnipresent stays in the heart
Vishwa – 3 meanings –
1. Souls – he enters into body ( vishati iti vishwaha)
2. Chaturmukha brahma (adhi jeeva)
3. Vaayudevaru (one who breathes inside all)
We should meditate thinking Such a God is inside our heart.
