Dwadasha stothra 5: Verse 6
yadasuptigatOpi varinaH sukhavAn sukharUpiNa mAhuratO nigamAH |
sumati prabhavaM jagadasya yataH parabOdhatanuM cha tataH khapatim ||6||
yadasuptigatOpi varinaH
asuptigataha = Sleepless, Narayana does not need sleep to feel refreshed, He is awake even when everyone is asleep. In everyday life he causes dream, he gives bliss during sleep and then awakens the body. Even during pralaya he does the same.
Vaha = Ananda, jnana, strength; inaH = lord
varinaH = Lord of Ananda, jnana, strength
sukharUpiNa mAhuratO nigamAH = Hence all Vedas say he is a stature of bliss, Knowledge and strength
sVa+matiprabhavaM jagadasya yataH = He has created the whole world through his Jnana Shakti. To create anything there has to be jnana Shakti (Knowledge), ichhha Shakti (desire), Kriya Shakti (action). But Narayana creates only through Jnana shakthi.
Para+bOdha+tanuM = His Swaroopa is of superior knowledge
Khapatim = Lord of Knowledge, sky
Kham = Bliss, Knowledge, Sky (akasha abhimani devathe – Ganapati, shiva, parvati, lakshmi), IndriyaGalu in our mind( he controls all sense organs – hrishikesha)
Shastras say we must do Upasane of Lord as “Kham”.
Hari never sleeps, but He is always full of Bliss. Therefore, the Vedas have called Him as being of the essence of Bliss. His desire that the world should be born, created the world. He has been called as the essence of extraordinary Jnana and the controller of all sensory organs (Indriyas)
